How I work

Personal Training

I design fitness and weight loss programs and supervise their execution for maximum results. I re-design and update programs when necessary. I provide instruction, motivation and accountability. I always begin with a comprehensive Lifestyle Assessment so that I truly understand my clients goals and needs as well as any past/current health issues.

I train clients in my Studio in my home.  My clients may arrive early or stay late for warm-up/cool-down exercises and/or stretching or they may do their own cardiovascular workout in my cardio room.  Our training sessions are either half-hours or hours and my clients train individually, as partners or in small groups (up to five).  The Personal Best Studio is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment so our training may include work with machines (including functional strength training equipment) and free weights or stpps, bands, stability balls, BOSU balls, foam rollers and more.....all depending upon the goals of the client/clients.

The Personal Best Studio also provides a full-service shower/bathroom for clients to change if need be and mats and towels are provided for workouts.

 Coaching

I work mostly on the telephone: It is called telecoaching. You call me at a pre-scheduled time. Most clients call me once per week at the same time each week, but that is between you and I and we work out what is best for you. Calls last 25 or 55 minutes, again depending upon your wants and needs.

Sometimes I meet with my clients in person but most of my clients find the telephone to be the most efficient and effective.

I also do email coaching. This is combined with telecoaching, or in-person coaching, as an added element of communication. Many clients find it helpful to be able to email me in between our telecoaching sessions.

What other services do I offer?

In addition to personal training and coaching, I:

I also assist with articles, newsletters, and proposals, for personal or business use, dealing with weight loss, health, fitness, and overall well-being.
