MORE ABOUT MILLIE
Millie has been training and coaching clients toward a healthier, more fit lifestyle for over 20 years. She made a career change in 1982 when she went from being a computer programmer for the Dept. of Defense to being a fitness professional. She entered the fitness industry first as an aerobics instructor and then the Fitness Coordinator (managing the fitness class program as well as designing and teaching classes) for one of the largest multi-purpose clubs in the Metropolitan D. C. area. She then was transferred to
Loving the fitness industry, she decided to expand her expertise into the sales and marketing arena and became one of the top producers for another major multi-purpose club in the Still growing and learning, she found herself in Southern California where she got certified as a Personal Trainer and made it her lifelong goal to become a specialist in the area of helping people to lose weight and get fit, healthfully and in such a way that they could sustain for the rest of their lives. She developed the weight management program for a very large fitness facility (17 acres including the outdoor tennis courts!) and when she returned again to the D.C. area, she did the same thing in two area clubs. Her passion for helping people with the issue of weight loss continued to grow and she was tasked with creating, developing, and executing a new weight loss program that combined the eating and exercise components and that would be financially lucrative for the club. So the “Eating, Exercise and Energy!” Program was born and Millie was the sole creator, marketer and executioner of it. It was tremendously successful (revenues exceeded $100,000.00 the first year) and continues to be so today. Millie also became a Continuing Education Provider for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and was teaching and training other trainers on how to be experts in weight management.
Still having the passion to touch more people and help them with the health and fitness aspects of their life, she enrolled in a coaching training program. Now she could not only teach people how to exercise and eat correctly, but she could assist them on their path to discovering the lifelong changes that they need to make in order to sustain a healthy lifestyle forever. She also became Weight Watcher Leader as it afforded her an opportunity to help lots more people at one time than the one-on-one training environment does. She continues to do the “Eating, Exercise and Energy!” Program at the club part-time and lead Weight Watchers meetings part-time, because she is passionate about both of them, so that she can spend most of her time in the arena of coaching her clients to their success.
